World Humanitarian Day
Every day, humanitarian aid workers are on the front lines of conflict and disaster, confronting emergencies to deliver care and relief to those who need it most. World Humanitarian Day (WHD) takes place every year on August 19 to recognize humanitarians who put their lives on the line, and who remain vigilant after a crisis to help survivors build a better future. This campaign was created for aid organization International Medical Corps to support all aid workers in the field, particularly overlooked jobs. From the Grave Digger of Ebola victims to the Logistician on the front lines working to procure lifesaving medical supplies.
